Concurrent alcohol recovery and fermentation powered by pass-through distillation
Pass-through distillation (PTD) is an emerging hybrid separation technology that can effectively address challenges associated with employing vacuum distillation in bio-based processes. Coupling it with heat pump systems or multi-effect distillation results in significant energy savings.
